Anyone giving their time to the campaign.
The most valuable and most easily lost resource on any campaign. Volunteers stay when the experience is good and they have a real, specific role. Civic Grove builds that experience deliberately.
What you do
Knock doors
Canvassing with a turf and a script. The human moment that moves votes.
Make calls
Phone banking from home or with the team.
Deliver lawn signs
Get the name visible in the neighborhood.
Staff events
Welcome people, hand out materials, support the candidate.
Support social
Share content, write recaps, help keep the campaign visible online.
Lead a precinct
Own voter contact in your neighborhood if you want a bigger role.
What to expect (honest)
- Door knocking takes real effort for limited conversations. That is normal. The value is the human moment, not the count.
- The campaign will give you a specific, right-sized ask — not a vague "help out."
- You will be welcomed, told why your task matters, and thanked.
Your first shift
- Welcome and the one-minute "what we're about."
- Your role and your first specific task.
- The tool or sheet you'll use — sign tracker, call list, canvass turf.
- Who to ask when you're stuck.
